Courses

●Applied Geophysics

A course of the mathematical physics principle and field apply as well as data interpretation of geophysical investigation methods. Topics include gravity and magnetic potential field measurement, electromagnetic investigation, seismic exploration, geothermal prospecting, and radioactivity probing. These methods are used by geologists, hydrologists and reservoir, soils and geotechnical engineers to locate the distribution of physical properties having economic or engineering importance beneath the surface of the earth.

●Marine Geophysics and Ocean Floor Tectonics

An overview of geological processes and its geophysical theory in marginal sea and ocean floor tectonics. This course would emphasize on marine geophysical observations methods, and the oceanic crust structure characteristics, as well as the plate boundary geological activity.

●Seminar: Advances in Geophysical Exploration-the specific methodology and technology

A seminar for graduates to enhance theirs technical innovation ability in applied geophysics. Some specific geophysical investigation problem and the recent advances of applied geophysics would be discussing in this course.
