Courses

Atmospheric Environmental Chemistry

A treatment of all aspects of the physical and chemical behavior of air pollutants. Provides a analysis of the chemistry of atmospheric pollutants, formation, sources, sinks, thermodynamics and dynamics of atmospheric pollutant. Also contains coverage of atmospheric removal processes, including wet and dry deposition; statistical distributions of atmospheric concentrations, and a discussion of acid rain.

Principles of Air Pollution Control Engineering

A general understanding of the air pollution problems, and their origin, impact, and the related control legal system, technology and engineering, laying a good foundation for the future work of air pollution control and macro environmental management. It requires the students to grasp the legal system for air pollution control, principles of air pollution caused by energy utilization, quantitative calculation of air pollution by combustion, calculation of basic transport and dispersion of pollutant, the fluid dynamics basis for particle removal, and the principle, craft, and equipment of particle and air pollutant removal.
